Internationalt Certifikat for Antifoulingssystemer
I henhold til den internationale konvention om kontrol af skadelige antibegroningssystemer på skibe.
Fra den 1. juli 2003 skal skibe med en bruttotonnage på 400 eller derover synes og være i besiddelse af et Internationalt Certifikat for Antifoulingsystemer (AFS-certifikat). Syn udføres og certifikater udstedes af Søfartsstyrelsen på ikke-klassede skibe og på klassede skibe af anerkendte organisationer, med hvilke Søfartsstyrelsen har indgået formelle aftaler. Søfartsstyrelsen tillader sig at fremsende en faktura på 240 kr. til dækning af de direkte omkostninger ved udstedelsen af AFS-certifikatet.
AFS-certifikatets gyldighed ophører, hvis antibegroningssystemet ændres eller erstattes af et andet system og ved skibets overførsel til et andet flag eller en anden stat.
International Anti-fouling System Certificate
According to the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-Fouling Systems on Ships.
From 1 July 2003, all ships with a gross tonnage of or above 400 must be surveyed and hold an International Anti-Fouling Certificate (AFS Certificate). Surveys are conducted and certificates are issued by the Danish Maritime Authority on non-classed surveys, while on classed ships these tasks are carried out by recognised organisations with which the Danish Maritime Authority has concluded formal agreements. The Danish Maritime Authority will forward an invoice of DKK 240 in payment of the direct costs related to the issuance of the AFS Certificate.
The validity of the AFS Certificates expires if the anti-fouling system is changed or replaced by another system and when the ship is transferred to another flag or another State.
